I have a faulty micro usb port so I cannot charge my battery through the phone or connect to a computer. My phone is out of warranty.

Does anyone know how to fix this or how much it would cost to send it to samsung?
You can order a replacement micro usb for $5, has anyone tried to put one in themselves or can link to a guide or video?

did you ever find and answer to replacing the usb port ,, i seem to have the same problem now ,, it is a very bad design...

I'd buy the part, then take it to a qualified repair shop and pay them to put it in for you. If they sell you the part, they will charge double or triple. Mine may be the same thing, haven't ruled it out yet. Good luck!
