Was looking over on XDA and ran across the GingerborgMod Rod and thought it looked pretty promising.  Has anyone tried this ROM?

Punisher,

In general, how are the roms from the kitchen?

I have used the leaked 2.2 beta, Axura, Cognition 3.04 and Paragon RC5.

I like to have a stable phone that performs well and would like to have good battery life.  The one gripe that I had with Cognition was no voice dialing over bluetooth which works with Paragon and the battery life with paragon seems pretty good.  I can get through the day without plugging in to give my phone a boost, which I seemed to have to do with Cognition and the leaked bata on ocassion.

well i have never tried the kitchen personally, all that i know from it is that you can make you own rom to how you like it.

right now im trying out Andromeda rom and from previous use of other roms this one kicks some major butt. It hardley chokes up and just seems like it runs a lot smoother and i can get through the day with 70% battery life with useage but useage varies from day to day

Well, I tried the GingerborgMod for about a half a day or so and I pack to Paragon RC5.1.  It's not that it was a bad Rom, I did not like the theme (and yes, I know that change be changed) and after you turn on the phone sometimes it would just go blank for a bit before it came you could do anything.

I am really liking the Paragon Rom and don't want to get into the mode of flashing to every Rom that comes down the Inter-web.  I need stability with my phone.

Punisher, since you tried do many lol what in comparison to cognition latest rom do you think is most stable with best battery life? At best with wifi usage at home constantly and with email weather and facebook updating every hour my phone is unplugged in morning when wake up four hours later work little use there then home roughly for hours to bed then plugged in again it's average is fifteen percent or less. Running cognition 3.04. Seems stable very minor but manageable bugs. But if something is more stable and could increase battery lol why not

i am in your situation (well almost) i wake up at 8am and dont go to bed till around 1-2am the next day so i need a long lasting rom.

by far the best battery life ones that i have noticed are cezar, paragon the cezar one i got 24 hours one time with ~60% left at the end of the day.

I use my phone for pandora and fbook searching and texting and thats pretty much it. I dont use any live wallpapers i keep an autokiller on and have a ram booster

right now i am using adromeda but the battery life to me is eh ok im going to bed with about 40% battery life with the useage statement above thinking about switching again Sticking out tongue because adamholden came out with a new rom but it still has a couple of bugs in it so im waiting for the update

Lol, the irony is we flash roms like iphone users download useless apps! I would love more power but a stable rom is a must, what's good about folk day with my Captivate if I am irritated all day lol. If you run across something that is stable and don't require a midday charge I would love to know.

Also, off topic here, seen samsung has the galaxy 2 on the way, better camera plus front camera, dual core,2.3 installed, thinking I want it lol, just wonder if it can be rooted and if my backups would carry over? That would be such a miracle lol, not complaining I love this phone, but that's everything this phone should have been lol.but from what I seen it's not as good looking as the Captivate. But can't argue over four inch screen ;-)

Yea I'm not rushing either. Just this phone is awesome but that's a little better, maybe in a year when it's upgrade time. I'm no hurry to start over since this phone is just how I like it. Maybe get extended battery for summer if available. Do slot of biker riding, and if vlingo don't come up with light off option that will kill battery. But wait to text and ride with it. Try to minimize use off phone when riding, to afraid I will drop it.
