Hi everyone,

I just got my samsung captivate glide about a month ago and I have been having problems and am wondering if anyone else has these problems too.

1) TIN CAN NOISE - several people on the other end of a phone call claim that it sounds like I am talking in a tin can when I am on the phone with them. I didn't believe it because this phone is brand new but I also heard this when I called my phone from a different phone.

2) RECEPTION - I live near chicago and I would expect the AT&T cell service to be great, but I have calls being dropped or not being able to go through. Then sometime when I do call people no one picks up and I ask them why they didn't answer and they say their phone never rang. 

3) FREEZING - this past week my phone has been freezing. I left my phone on the table for about 3 hours and when I came back the screen had been frozen and was lite the whole time. The battery life dropped ALOT while it froze. When I tried to get it unfroze no button or anything was responding. I had to hold the power button for about 1 minute before it turned off.

If anyone else has these problems please let me know.

Definitely call AT&T and have them reset your connection. A lot of times when you get a new phone, they have to do that. Should fix your call issue. Unfortunately, AT&T service OS not very good, so that probably won't fix your coverage issue. For the shut down issue; common problem. No fix as of yet. if you are in your first 30 days, I would recommend giving out back and running away. I now have a motorola triumph through virgin wireless. No problems and great service. I left because of the exact problems you're having.

Thanks for the info. My 30 days is up on tuesday but I have to stay with AT&T because I am on a family plan. I think I might have to return this phone...

I do not think so.

AT&T has the:

Samsung Infuse 4G. Samsung Galaxy S II, and the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket
