Hello I have had my captivate for about 10 months and randomly yesterday my lock button stopped working. I cleaned the button and it started to work for awhile and then stopped again. I took my battery out to restart it and nothing happened. Now nothing works I've tried taking the battery out and it just stays blank and black. I tried charging it and that doesn't work either please help me!



Also my phone has never gotten wet or been dropped

At 10 months old its probably still under warranty. Same thing recently happened to mine but I was just past the 12 month warranty. Ussually if I would touch the lock button without actually clicking it I could get some reaction. Smacking it a few times worked well too. Go to the at&t store and they should take care of it if your warranty is good.
