My phone is now over a year old and I still love it so much I would be sick if it was damaged, so when my old hard case started not staying on so good anymore, I started looking for a protective case (for when I drop it, not if).
I had seen the Otterbox cases and figured that was what I needed, but found that the "i people" have bewitched the company and android phones could only have ugly black covers. The store called my attention to the Trident brand, Cyclops cases that come in pretty colors. I bought mine through Amazon.com for half the price of the local store (sorry about that mom and pop America, but I am too poor to pay double). Here is the one I got:
http://www.amazon.com/Trident-Cyclops-Case-Samsung-Captivate/dp/B0057QBL1Y/ref=pd_cp_cps_2It does include a screen protector and I wasn't sure I wanted to use it because I had heard all the horror stories about bubbles and sensitivity on the touch screen, but evidently this technology has improved a great deal. The screen protector definitely helps with the glare problem on the screen. This case is dust proof, has a silicon bumper to prevent serious damage to the insides and protects the face from scratching (that is if the Gorilla glass was going to scratch anyway). I am very happy with this case. Makes it seem I have a brand new phone.

p.s. If you want even more color, the protective bumper can be purchased in colors to match, directly from trident.com at this link:
