so i bought some phantom skins for my Captivate and i really didnt like them they felt to "sticky" like when i was using swype so i removed it.  So i was wondering i am planning on buying a body glove case so that should help froom direct screen impacts but is a screen protector nessasary.  i am pretty careful with my phone anybody going naked with their screen and its still looking good of course a few minor scratches are to be expected

I have the Body Glove hard rubber case and I really enjoy it, if you get it I hope you like it.

I did have the ZAGG Invis-a-shield on my phone, but my big complaint about it is that it made the buttons at the bottom of the screen (menu, home, back and search) less sensitive to touch.  After much deliberation, I decided to remove the Invis-a-shield and so far have not regretted it.

Just wish I had made the decision not to use a screen protector before I bought it.

nope nope nope.

Not needed considering what the screens are made out of as our is. Just a tpu protector for the body itself. Very awesome, see through and blends the back cover design with it, brig very cool indeed.

I use the Otterbox rubber case. Very nice and easily removable to change batteries, etc.
I don't use a screen protector but I've always been pretty careful with my phones. I never used a screen protector on my iPhones that I had for 3 years and never had a scratch.

I have a Foamy silicone rubber cover. I was using AT&T screen protectors but I was sick of changing them every two weeks. Not to mention how tough they are to get on properly. I was at the mall and had the little girl install a Zagg Invisi-shield. Only cost $7 for to put it on and it comes with a 90 day install war and a lifetime war on the shield itself.

So far I am happy with it. Seems responsive enough. No noticeable loss in sensitivity. Not that "tacky" like some complain about.

I like it.

Just my 2 cents

Over all it works well. Maybe a very slight amount of sticking or snapping. Certainly not a deal breaker in my opinion. Of course some will differ, and that's cool. I also don't mind the "orange peal" look of the Zapp. I have far more issues with the pre-cog on the swipe. But I still prefer it over normal typing. Of course it doesn't help I have average sized mens hands.

Don't and won't use a screen protector.  Gorilla Glass FTW!  I don't carry razor blades around, and my $2.99 silicone case is raised enough to keep the screen off any surface if I drop it (unless the surface is uneven and jagged, and that's why I pay for insurance).

I don't use one. I've had my phone since mid september and there are no scratches and honestly I'm not very careful with my phone lol.

I keep it in my purse with other objects and i've dropped it a few times and no scratches so far at all.

My Zagg started to peel around the edges after a couple of months, so I took it off.  It was supposed to have a lifetime waranty, but you had to register to get it.  They wanted way too much personal information for a piece of plastic, so I said screw it.  The glass feels sooo much better, so I guess I'll go naked from now on.  I do have a silicon case on it though.  I hope I don't regret my decision.

I installed a Invisableshield tonight on mine and also one on my wife's Aris and so far I am not impressed.  The one on the Aris is very nice and feels just like the glass it is covering.  The one on my Captivate feels gummy, not what I was expecting after installing it on the Aris.

If it doesn't feel like the glass its covering it will be a waste of 20 bucks.

Well, after a full day using the Invisableshield, I have decided it was definitely not worth the 20 dollars I spent on it.  Many imperfections in the plastic including long lines running top to bottom making the view annoying and the feel is like running your fingers along a piece of leather vise a piece of smooth glass.

It is definitely totally different than the Invisableshield version we received for the HTC Aria which is smooth and with no imperfections in view.
I'll be taking this off tonight.

I did order the Otterbox Commuter case today which comes with a screen protector so I'll try that but may decide on going without.
