I can *definitely* live without the FB app -- it's a glitchified useless piece of junk that, if I were FB, I'd be embarrassed to have released.

So far with what I have loaded, AutoKiller is my #1 must-have.

For what I haven't loaded yet, probably musicID.

So if I root my phone does it void my warranty? Or can I unroot if I ever needed to send it in for repair?

Any internal monkeying can and will void your warranty.  So yes, rooting = voided.

Since yesterday was the very first time I've ever heard of "unrooting" a phone, I really don't know what impact that would have from a warranty perspective.

I said I was going to wait 30 days but accidentally hitting all the crappy att apps drives me nuts... so i rooted. VERY easy to do and I got rid of all the ATT BS and can install other apps including the firefox mobile alpha.

This thread is meant for apps that you suggest that you like.  If you need help you should start a new thread, not hijack this one...

·         Pandora – music streaming based on feedback
·         SoundHound – music ID
·         Droid 48 – HP 48 emulator
·         Barcode scanner
·         QuickOffice
·         App Brain – android market substitute
·         Quick Settings – simple control of volume, wifi, etc.
·         Smart Shortcuts – tag and organize apps
·         KGB people – search for people on facebook, etc.
·         Bump – phone-to-phone file transfer (suggested, but havn't used yet)
·         PR remote – computer remote with screen capture
