Hey there, For the past few days I've been unable to get a connection to the server. Hadn't been getting my AOL mail, so deleted and started over. NOT! Unable to open connection. Sometimes the Market Place "has no connection." I have lots of bars on the wi-fi and a good the 3G. I put in a search here but didn't find much. I've read online after a search that others are having this problem.
I'm sure there are no simple answers!  Happy

Need some clarification:

Are you able to connect to the internet via the phone at all?  When you are on WIFI and 3G?

Have you recently installed any apps that might have coincided with this problem?  If so, if you uninstall them does it work then?

If you can connect with 3G but are having problems with the WIFI connecting, have you tried resetting your wireless router that you are using?  Have you tried making the phone forget the WIFI connection and re-establishing it along with it's password?

Please be as specific as possible as this will help us narrow it down and eliminate possible causes.

Hi, Yes, I can get on the internet .I did re-do the wi-fi connection and have a good wi-fi signal.
I had AOL mail installed, worked but not too regular, than about 5 days ago, wouldn't load mail. I uninstalled and tried to "add account" to get my AOL mail. It gets all the way to the end and then "unable to open connection to server".
I've noticed in the MarketPlace that just the first page loads and on the botton it says "no connection " or I get "A network error had occurred".
I did uninstall a couple of apps that I wasn't using, but haven't installed anything lately or since I've had the trouble.
    Thanks!!

Okay, so you can get on the internet, but we still need specifics.  Can you get on your browser when you're on wifi AND regular 3G?  Trying to figure out if there is a problem with your wifi signal even though it says you have a good connection.  Have you tried power-cycling the router?

I don't have AOL but maybe someone else can weigh in here about them getting it working.  If not, did you know you can link other email (not just gmail) accounts to your primary gmail account and even reply to them with you original (i.e. AOL) email address.

Hi, Yes, I click on the browser icon and it opens up and connects with both wi-fi and 3G. I can't get the server connection when I'm at work either, so the router at home doesn't seem to be the trouble.
Thanks for the info on linking the email accounts.I'll be trying that. But I'll still want the no server connection issue to be figured out. I did have aol on the phone since day one. I noticed it stopped downloading the email about 5 days ago.
    Thanks a bunch!
