Hey guys, I have an opportunity for you here.

I'm a contributing editor over at www.AlienBabelTech.com. I'm not a staff writer, but they've published a few of my articles and how-to guides.

An editor over there, a friend of mine, has a Samsung contact that we could ask a question of about the Galaxy S. Now, I was going to ask about the amount of RAM, but it looks like GSMArena already worked that out of them the other day.

So, I'm asking you guys what question I should ask. I won't promise that it will be the question I'll ask, but I'd like to see what you guys are interested in knowing. I'm leaning towards a question that relates to the speed of the RAM, what kind of GPU they're using (I'm not satisfied with the rumors) or a confirmation about the device not having a camera flash.

But here's the thing, the question has to be asked in such a way that they don't just send back a statement saying that they can't answer the question.

What do you guys think?

Honestly, we know its a hot phone by the performance in the video.  The specs have be out for awhile, and we get it that its the best and most powerful Android phone out to date.  We have been riding the "specs horse" for awhile now.

What we don't know is what is the timetable for a USA release.  The phone is popping up around the globe, but there is zilch other than speculation for the USA.  I know they won't have exacts because it is carrier dependent, but they will know when and where the units will be shipping to.  If you really want to break a story about this phone and allay some rumors, ask that question and you'll be quoted all over the place.

Very good point, I tend to get a little too wrapped up in specs and numbers. I'd just have to figure out how I could make a question like that result in a real answer.

Question about release would be cool but if we could ask any question something that we will inevitably find out (and they might not even know/tell us) would be a waste.

I think LED would be a good question, it seems like the Processor comparison has really worked out for us.

If he would be able to give us some more in depth little facts about it might be really helpful like things we don't really know but would be nice to, like little features that seperates this phone from the next. Something like that.

Or, the price? is it ever going to see a drop, I mean $800 US dollars is a-lot for any phone.

I would ask either for a commitment for them to upgrade to Froyo within the first 3 months of release. That is rumoured to bring Bluetooth Voice Dialling and is something Im waiting for, more than a flash.

I'd like to see the automated response to this question:

"Does Samsung plan on abandoning Galaxy S owners regarding Android firmware updates as it did with Behold 2 owners?"

My choice would definitely be the US release timetable.

The problem is there is so much speculation out there, its even hard to use the powers of deduction to go for the "non-answer" answer.

Well, they have said they will upgrade it to Froyo, but as anyone who has a Behold II knows, that doesn't mean a whole lot.

I'd ask when it's being released to "North America" that way if Canada and the US are getting the phone at separate times (like I assume they will) they tell you the answer to both but you've theoretically asked only one question.

Haha, poor canada always gets stuff so late.

@electro Yea, they say that but sometimes I don't rreally trust these companies.
Especially Samsung.

I would be asking for the exact release details and SRP pricing for the Philippines, release details include if its a 8 or 16GB unit and how much will it EXACTLY sell on Samsung Mobile outlets.

Oooo I think I've got it...

I'd like to know if the SGH-i897 and the Samsung Captivate are the same device or separate:

Software: Will there be an HD Youtube app like on the EVO 4G?

Hardware: Now that a physical dock has been confirmed (see http://www.samsungCaptivateforum.com/index.php?topic=125.0 ), does this mean there will be an HDMI video-out adapter as well as DNLA support?
