I just had a debit card hacked not saying it came from the custom roms but since this happen to me it got me to thinking how do we know that these ROM are safe. In the end, the only way to make sure they are "safe" is to ask the developers for the source code, read through it, and then compile the rom yourself. There's no other way around it.
