Ok, I have my phone rooted, I have busybox installed (ver 1.17.1) and I downloaded and installed Titanium Backup Pro. Everything appeared to install ok, didn't get any error messages.

Here is the problem, I cannot find the app on the phone anywhere. No icon, no way to launch it. When I go into settings and applications, I can see that it is installed and I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times with the same results.

Anyone else ever run into this problem? Any suggestions?

*** Update, installed GPS Status and having the same problem.... Installed App and no Icon to be found.. Shows up in the settings-apps.... *****

OK, just to let everyone know, I did a search of the forums. I understand how the phone works and I have downloaded a whole bunch of apps, most of which are present on the Apps screen. It is just a few apps that I'm not seeing, although the phone shows they installed under the setting and I also got a message in the status log that shows they installed. The Market downloads section also shows that they installed....

HELP....

Just to clarify, the ones that are not showing up in the "applications" windows are indeed apps and not "widgets" right?  Because widgets will not show up in the apps area.  Just wanted to confirm this before we move on.

That is correct... The applications are Titanium Pro and GPS status....

Again, they show up under "Settings -- Applications -- Manage Applications" just not seeing them in the "Applications" screen where you would normally launch any application... I've even tried to make a shortcut to see if they would show up in that list and no luck..

have you tried searching for the app? sometimes under the manage apps they arnt in their listed alphabetical order and are out of place
