sd file transfering

I have had my Captivate for about 2 weeks and still learning from it. I have a question to ask and Im not sure about.

How do I transfer files from external sd to internal sd?

Such as mp3. I had an issue the other day where the phone read that I need to format the external sd, so I did. Now that i went back and pulled the card from phone and put into my computer and put more music back onto the card and went just fine. Today I pulled the card from phone and try to put music on it and the computer read the parameter are wrong, so I look and seen that that I had plenty of memory to hold it all. Im using a 8GB card and the memory left on that card is 6.2GB. I used a different 4GB sd card and it also transferd ok.

Can some please help me?

Formatting an sd card deletes EVERYTHING, in case you didn't know.

You're saying that your computer wont read the sd card. This happened to me too, just wait a little while before retrying to open it up again. If that don't work then that is beyond me.

Also, if you want to transfer files from the external to the internal or vice versa, just go to the app called "My Files">select and hold the file you want to move> an options menu will pop up> select Move or Copy> go to the internal sd card and select the folder you wish to place it in> then press "Move Here"

So.................. Once you move it to a different folder other then the external sd card... it is on the internal sd card?

What is the internal sd card listed as? I am changing over to an infuse, but I want to keep some of my games and movies on the captivate, and I cant figure out how to move the stuff from the external sd card to the internal memory. Thanks for the help
