The GPS performance on my Captivate is laughingly poor.

I am personally convinced that this is a hardware problem, but anyway Samsung insisted they could fix it.

So, after two weeks I got it back with a little note that said "Passed all functional testing"

Eagerly I made a round the block trip and it quickly became apparent that the GPS was not fixed.

In a 3 mile trip, it lost the connection 3 times, got lost 5 times.

Disappointing.

If you want it fixed thats not a problem, I have updated my Cappy with the following fix and have had stellar results with GPS since.  Samsung has promised a fix for this problem since they released the phone, however they have not fixed it, but we have some great developers that have done the research and put in the time to provide us with something that works, enjoy!!
