I  found and downloaded the app/insallation thingy from google for voice to text.  But I have not found how to activate and or use it yet.  Any help appreciated.  Thanks

I use vlingo nd it works fine nd it understands voice like 95% of the time...its a free app...recommend it

actually that software is just used for things like the keyboard where you can speak and it will type for you the software is not use seperately but programs use it specifically for their purposes there are also other programs out there that will do the same and the ones for text to speech also differ from the google one

Okay so far all mine will do with what I downloaded is tell me when i have a call coming in.  I have not seen any where on the phone to actually speak into it and it text for me.  Do I need to download a different app for that, and then how do I access it on my phone.  Thanks

if you are running 2.1 then you need to use android keyboard and click on the mic.

Ok, I don't see the microphone on my keypad that you are talking about. It's not there. Do you have to download a app in order to do talk to text? Or is it already set up somewhere on the phone. I've been looking and I see the talk to text in the settings on the phone, but don't know how to set it up. Any help with a little hand holding would be appreciated lol. Just need to know how to set up talk to text. Thanks

hmmm maybe im talking about the android keybaord, sorry im using a different rom so im doing most of the stuff on here by memory of 2.1

if you are in a car and want to do talk to text then i would recommend vlingo its free and very useful

i just find talk to text still a little annoying since it never gets what i say right

I have a question... So I have been using my VOICE TALK option (little microphone) in my text window to speak my texts which become typed out for me..Pretty good recognition by the way...  But, just today I went to use the voice recognition and the little microphone disappeared??  Did I turn it off somehow?  Anyone know how to get it to return?..
