Grieving over dead Captivate, stuck with Wife's old iPhone

Hi, I'm Mike. I know my user name is lame, but Teddy is my dog (get your mind out of the gutter!). Captivate owner for 1.5 years, loved it. Lots of arguments with my wife over which is better, iPhone or 'Droid. (My phone is better than your phone, nyaa!) Now my Captivate has died (or at least is in a coma), and for now, until I find a better solution, I've been reduced to putting my SIM card in my wife's old iPhone (1st gen). GYAAAK! So, I'm here hoping to find any help in resurrecting my Captivate ASAP. I'm going through withdrawal! Will post separately about issues...
