I upgraded from a Samsung Impression to the Captivate for no reason I can think of. I guess I was bored & wanted more aggravation in my life.

I've never owned a smart phone & am light years from figuring this  one out.

The nice girl that sold me this one installed the app killer & showed me how to use it. Now if I could just figure out the rest of the thing.

Fortunately, I am married to a geek/wiz/nerd & he will help me with most of it. I'm sure I'll be here asking all sorts of stupid questions when he doesn't have the time to help my whining azz.

I'll try not to get on your nerves, just remember, I may not know the term I need to search for whatever it is I am trying to do.

God help us all.

I just moved from an Impression to the Captivate too.  I've only had it 4 days but I really LOVE it.

LOL  hi there and welcome aboard!  Sorry you just really made me giggle alot over your post.  What an intro!

First thing's first....don't be afraid of it!  Stretch those fingers and click and experiment with it, browse around here as much as you can to learn, ask when you need to, and above all....do not let it intimidate you!!!

My 13 year old son got my Impression, he's in his room praying ya'll help me figure this out so I don't return this one & take my Impression away from him. Poor over privileged child... Crying

I have figured out how to connect to the wifi at home & away, send text messages & sorta use the camera.

Beyond that, I'm screwed!!!!!

But I'm working on it.

Well, 3 days & I finally figured out you have to swipe the phone to answer.
A small victory, but a victory none the less.

I feel your pain. I just switched from the Solstice and am having lots of problems. I can't even figure out how to get all my contacts switched. My SD card is only showing 1 number when it has multiple numbers on it under each contact.
