My Intro - Samsung Captivate

My Intro

I somewhat challenged when dealing with gadgets. I just got my samsung captivate and can't do half the stuff that I thought I should be able to do. For some reason I used to be able to take photos and text them to people, now I can't. I got on this forum hoping to find out how to use my phone for music. I found info on deleting programs or apps and reinsstalling parts of them. Too much to do for me. I could figure it out, but I have other things I would like to do with my time instead of correcting all of the problems with this phone. does any one know some fairly easy and quick ways to deal with this?

What specific issues are you having with your phone as far as using it for music? Also, are you getting an error message when trying to send a MMS (picture message)?

When I try to send, it just says "Sending" and never completes. And when someone sends me something, it says "Downloading" and never completes downloading.

First, this may seem like a stupid question, You do have a text messaging and data plan through your carrier? If you do, and you haven't already, Take your phone (if your carrier has a store) to the store and explain your problem.

Thank you. Yes I do have all that on my plan. It is At&t, so I can take it to any ATT store? I know sometimes they tell you to take it to a corporate store.

Thanks, I took it to the AT&T store and they got me up and running. It would not send pictures on text because some setting was turned off. the one that lets you connect to internet without wifi.
I am still unsure of exactly what they did to get it to recognize the ext sd card and then put music on it, but it works now.
I wish I had just gone earlier. I thought it was something I had to figure out for myself.
