Wonder if Apple take it as well as they can dish it out?

yeah I saw that, I hope Sammy wins this honestly.  I hate how Apple and Microsoft both sue people its basically playing dirty IMO.  I'll agree that the Galaxy S's touchwiz UI definitely bears some resemblance to iOS, but it works completely different.  Its a competitor anyway IMO, there are gonna be similarities.

Speaking of Touchwiz I haven't even used it since november... launcher pro FTW

Long story short Samsung did copy Apple but it is more of a marketing option then anything else. They want iphone users moving over to the android software to feel comfortable.

I just switched from an Iphone 3g to the Captivate and there are some notable features. I love the Captivate which does have more features than my iphone 3g had.
I also want to say I like apple but my iphone 3g was old and it had the same software look and feel since the very first Iphone came out.

I hope samsung doesnt lose but I would like to see a vertical app page I am tired of the same old horizontal app page.

Download a launcher from the market. ADW, LauncherPro, GoLauncher, etc.. they all have vertical app pages.

I haven't been around for a while since I finally got the 2.2 upgrade on my Captivate.  I find it funny all this argument about who has the rights to what technology.  Personally, my Captivate is MUCH BETTER than all the iPhones I have seen.  Even if you didn't count the beautiful colors on the Amoled screen, just the gorilla glass alone is enough to sell me.  Who wants a phone that is either going to have to have a plastic screen protector which always curls up, or is going to get scratched and hard to read in no time.  My Captivate is now 8 months old and still has not a scratch on it.  No screen protector, and I have dropped it a couple times.  I do try to be careful, keep it in a lined zipper compartment in my purse, where I keep nothing else.  But this gorilla glass thing is great and I wonder why others aren't using it. I have had no issues whatever with my phone, other than some freezing up which is easily fixed by rebooting, and this just doesn't happen often enough to be an irritant.  I would say my $19.99 was very well spent.

Now I realize what I am talking about is superficial to all you tech types, but it matters to me.  I still can't believe how much I am using my phone to do ordinary things every day.  I used the scientific calculator yesterday to figure a square root.  I looked at a radar screen last night to see in which direction a thunderstorm was moving.  I keep track of headlines on CNN, read my Facebook feed and play Hearts whenever I wish.  Just watched several movie trailers and used the Navigator to plan a road trip.  I tell people all the time they are seriously missing out if they don't have a smart phone.  Don't know why it is taking so long for many people to convert, because it is not about cost.  But, I'm preaching to the choir.
