Interesting read, but here's a piece to take note:

Quote
...Samsung has borne the brunt of Mr Jobs' ire.

The South Korean firm is currently banned from selling its Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia and Germany because of a combination of patent infringements and "look and feel" similarities. A smartphone ban is also pending in the Netherlands.

Samsung is counter-suing Apple for infringing, it claims, several wireless technology patents which it holds the rights to.

Yeah Apple is successfully banning samsung galaxy products in some countries its BS.  I really honestly don't feel Android was a rip off of iOS.  I mean you read the history the small company "Android Inc." was formed in 2002, and bought by Google in 2003.  It was in development way before apple even thought about having their own phone.  In fact its my understanding Apple first experimented with an itunes compatible phone called the motorola ROKR and it failed horribly, and they originally intended the iPad to be the first product but decided it would be alot more profitible as a phone.

I do believe Android was rushed to the market as companies were desperate for an iphone killer, quite possibly before it was ready IMO.  Using my captivate I have to admit android really does seem a bit rough around the edges even in its 2.2 form thats on my captivate.
