could not find a way to make the Captivate do hands free calling over bluetooth.  got rid of the phone.

I think a little patience and searching on this forum or the internet could have solved your problems.  I have used hands free bluetooth before and never had an issue.

I spent hours searching this website, and the internet.  I spent hours in the local AT&T store.  I contacted AT&T by telephone and online chat and email.  I contacted SAmsung by phone and online chat and email.  I grew tired and frustrated with being tired and frustrated.  The best answer I could get was that the phone did not come with that capability and perhaps some aftermarket app could do it but nobody knew of one.  Vlingo didn't.
