My company finally got GOOD so we could get corporate email.  I was rooted (z4) running 2.2 and OCLF lag fix.  The GOOD servers wouldn't allow initially because it detected the root.  Even after unroot it still detected... after trial and error many times I realized  Z4 makes superuser a system app so you can't delete it (the normal way) and the GOOD servers recognized it and wouldn't allow connection. I had to download an app that lets you delete system apps (superuser didn't show up in Titanium either).  Once deleted GOOD installed.  Was a problem for me so I figured I'd put it out there incase anyone else rooted with Z4 and wants Enterprise email access.   Eyes Rolling

Oh God, why is your company paying money for that *Holy Crap Look Its Punisher*-of-service Good? If they're using Microsoft Exchange, there's finally a VPN hack to get on corporate mail.

I have the latest Good client.  I rooted (from stock), updated to Cognition 2.3b8, restored missing apps and data (including Good) and it has worked fine even while still rooted.  Maybe your Good servers at your company have a policy that detects it?
Concerning why you would want to run Good - your company can remotely wipe all the data if the phone is lost and it is encrypted - the vpn client wouldn't allow that.  Depending on the company, if they catch you downloading mail on an "unapproved" / unencypted device, you could be out the door...

Not sure...  The servers may have just picked up the superuser in system files and not the acutal root, but I'm not going to reroot to find out, lol.  Can root if I need to change anything with ocf.
