about 18 months ago I got an at&nobars Captivate Galaxy S i897
It is rooted 2.1.1
In Jan of this year it went into, what I believe is what you call a
soft brick.
Here's what happens when I boot it up.
1. I removed the sim and battery and sd card
2. replaced them back into the phone
3.pressed the power button

message "preparing internal mass storage"
Screen Icon's appear
in flight mode icon appears
green lookout virus starts to initialize
PHONE DIES..
I do have a directory that says "TitaniumBackup"
I want to recover this phone back to stock or 2.1.1 and see if I can get it back working.
Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated.
