what are you setting it to, never have used it but just to let you know that people really recommend setting it to 1.2gHz and nothing over and sometimes that causes the phone to randomly shutoff unless if you have voodoo and can undervolt

well i am pretty sure you need to have it overclocked to be able to run 1.2ghz. you cant run 1.2ghz just with setcpu.

I use two profiles with the same settings. Charging and screen off.  Both are set for 200mhz to 1000.  I have not had any random shutoffs with these settings.

The phone should not shut off if set properly, set cpu is a excellent program if you know the operation. With my settings i can get up to 2 days with out charging and medium use with the phone texting/calls check mail several times.
I can help out any one if they tell me exactly the programs they are using on their phones/the os/stock battery ? and other settings they have.

I like using the conservative or ondemand profile, with a maximum clock speed of 1200 MHz and minimum of 200 MHz. I find that, especially with the conservative profile on SetCPU (and the kernel you have) gives me better performance than stock but also improves my battery life.
