Comment on updates?

I have read a few posts of people that say when they try to update their phone it says "Communication Failed" As does mine. Some say the system is overwhelmed with people. I find this hard to believe because I try to update my phone at 3 a.m. Does anybody know what else the problem might be.
                                                                                                                                                          I downloaded a the GPS fix that Samsung put out on the App Market. How hard would it be for Samsung to put the updates for the Captivate on the App Market. Just an idea. Any comments.

What update are you talking about, Froyo?  There is no official Froyo update out yet, and we have not idea when it will be released by ATT.  Why are people still trying to update their phones?  There is no update, so stop checking and getting frustrated when you can't connect and there isn't anything to update anyways.

There are multiple threads about the update issues, and while the question of releasing via the market is valid, there doesn't need to be another "I'm griping about the update" thread.
