I think they do care about their facebook page.  I have seen on samsung mobile UK facebook page, that when enough people complain they get responses. 

I don't think we are going to get them to move faster by posting as much as we might just get a straight answer on a time line.  I think that would appease most of the Captivate users.  Just be honest and stop making people hope it is next week.. then the next week.. and so on.

Rex: I understand that you need information on Android 2.2 release. Am I correct?

Rex: Thank you for confirming.

Rex: Unfortunately there is no update available at this time for your phone, nor is there an estimated date of one being released. We are unable to speculate when/if a software revision might be available due to the fact that this might lead to inaccurate information and confusion.

K: is there any time frame

Rex: Unfortunately, there is no specific time frame mentioned for the release of the software at this moment. They are planning to release the update in a few weeks.

K: in a few weeks as in 3 being a few

Rex: I would have surely helped you if I had the information regarding the issue.  I hope you would understand our limitations. I don't want to provide any wrong information.

K: The update was suppose to be back in october. By the time we get it they are already working on a android gingerbread update

Rex: I am sorry for the inconvenience it may caused to you. But, due to some testing reasons the update got delayed. The new phone's already coming with the 2.2 update. For the old phone's there are some old issue including them they are releasing the update. that's why it got delayed.

Rex: Once again I apologize for the inconvenience.
