Less than a week after the AT&T Samsung Captivate Android Froyo update rolled out, AT&T Captivate owners have another surprise that may in fact make them want to skip getting the Motorola Atrix or Samsung Infuse 4G.
Samsung Captivate Android Gingerbread CM7 update
The CyanogenMod community project has just released the first Android Gingerbread CM7 build for the Samsung Captivate. Now this is of course dubbed as a usable test release but there are bound to be some bugs this early in the game. Nevertheless if you want a taste of Android 2.3 and uncripple the features like sideloading of apps that AT&T and Samsung worked into the Samsung Captivates, then give this a try.
