That would be really convenient, and I'm pretty sure they have it.

And I don't know if it is just me but whenever I quote somebody it automatically throws me into quick reply, it would be nicer if in that instance it would go into a normal reply.

Rouge135 for the quote thing you can minimize the quick reply and then when you press quote it will take you to the main posting place.

Electrofreak I added this new BBC code. It's that image right there. If you want to add a video put the id of the video in the middle of the BBC code. If I am using this link youtube.com/watch?v=Ce_oEzSosic#ws then in the middle of the BBC code I would put Ce_oEzSosic#ws. You can find that button on top of the smileys. I am sorry it is kind of a hard process. I will try to find an easier way. I don't know if there was an easier way to do it so I just made this BBC code.

YouTube video is blocked here at work so I can't see it in action, but what you describe is exactly how another website I frequent handles YouTube embedding, so it's not a problem at all (and in fact, copying the video ID out of the URL is what I'm used to doing for that BB code).

Thank you ammar for your quick response Happy This will come in real handy when linking video impressions and reviews of the Galaxy S.

Although moot because they work independently of each other, I'd LOOOOOOVED it if all the common-owned forums could link a userID DB across all so you don't have to re-register on each one...but mod/admin tags would be based upon the actual board.

I'm really excited about this phone and look forward to the forums growing and expanding...

What about being able to delete your own posts. This is the only forum site I've been on that doesn't enable you to delete your own threads due to a mispost or whatever.

Yep -- here's another Eternity forums comparison....


"It would be nice if...."  when a user has read all the "NEW" posts in a forum section, then the Captivate icon for that section greys out.  And then the Captivate icon is full color when there are new posts to read.

Yep, I'm aware of the "show unread posts since last visit", but I don't particularly care for that.  There are certain board sections I tend to migrate to first, and I don't like that view.

Just a thought!

Attachments -- any chance of increasing (primarily) the size allowance?  Too soon to be asking for this?  I wanted to be able to share ringtones and such but the 128kb limit is excruciating at this point.
