3G NOT working, WiFi is FINE. When i switch off WiFi 3G takes over but then the symbol disappears ~ therefore NO 3G connection. Browser,Market downloads, Mail all work using WiFi. Tried all settings & evn took the battery out ~ NOTHING. Supposedly a factory reset will solve this & i dont mind losing contacts apps & other stuff, as i can re input all that stuff again. BUT I want to know if the phone will revert back to 2.1 cause i want it to stay at 2.2 ? Angry Crying

The phone should stay with 2.2.  I have done a factory reset, after upgrading to the official 2.2, and it did not change the ROM.
