I noticed running speed tests that when I "tether" by using the phone as a HOT SPOT, the speeds are very very bad. I hate this Android OS so much that I actually connect my iPod Touch to my Samsung via hotspot as much as possible just to connect, send emails,  browse the web and use Twitter. I dread sending any SMS messages on my Samsung because it's a very painful and frustrating experience. And the other frustrating part is that the hotspot shuts down after about 30 minutes which is a PIA.  My iPod touch for some reason wont remember the password of my Samsung but it does for a normal hotspot.

Do you pay for tethering through AT&T or is your deviced rooted with a custom rom? If your not stock I am thinking all of your problems are coming from messing with your phone when you dont know what you are doing.

Thats fine.. I was only trying to offer help.. Why dont you switch over to iphone since you dont know how to use an android. I hear iphone is fool-proof for people with a lack of intelligence for cell phones these days. If you dont want my help I honestly think it would be the better route for you. Have a nice day =)

@ a noob - next time you want help, be more specific about your phone and the actual issue at hand. We are not here to listen to you rant and whine about the phone. We're here to help, but you obviously didn't want that or you wouldn't have copped such an attitude. And I kinda have to agree with xerp here, go be an itard...
