Someone please help me, I have looked EVERYWHERE for a solution to my problem but to no avail.
I have had my Captivate for 5 months - no problems, love it, probably clinically addicted to it. Two days ago all was fine, I downloaded a few new apps and went to sleep. Yesterday morning I woke up and it seemed fine, was able to access internet to check FB and my horoscope. Then yesterday afternoon I can't get onto anything internet related - no FB, no horoscope, no internet; but I can still send/receive calls and texts. I turned the phone off, took out the SIM card, re-booted, turned it off again, re-inserted the SIM card and re-booted again - this worked for about two minutes, then no internet again. Tried it again and this time it didn't work at all. Checked the spot where you can turn data on/off and it says it's activated HOWEVER if I go to settings->about phone->status->mobile network state it says 'deactivated'. No matter what I do I cannot get it to say 'activated' here, but it still says 'activated' at the toggle switch.
How can I get this fixed? I can't call AT&T tech support because this is the only phone I have and I can't troubleshoot while I am on it and I can't go to the store because their hours of operation are the same as my work schedule. I suppose I could go Saturday (if they are even open New Year's Eve) but that means going another two days of only being able to call and text people on my phone and as I said, I'm addicted to it's full capabilities...
